The 2005 Westfield Education Survey

The short version should take about 5 minutes or less for most people, the
longer version about 20 minutes. Both surveys are anonymous unless you enter

Read on for an explanation of the survey...
I (Gary McCready) wrote these surveys (with the assistance of a few other
district parents) so I may better understand the concerns and expectations of
both parents of children in the schools and Westfield residents in general. This
information would be used as part of the input for decisions I would make if
elected to the school board.
Since this survey is available to anyone on the internet, it is by no means
scientific. However, aside from the general trends a survey like this can show,
I am most interested in the additional comments you can add. The comments that cover areas not covered by the questions, or comments
that expand on strong feelings about a question are most welcome. If you would
rather, you may email comments to education@mccready.com.
At the end of the survey, you will be asked for contact information. The
information will be used to return survey results to you at the end of the
survey period, and/or to contact you. You may be contacted if I have questions
regarding your comments or if an issue you seem to be interested in comes before
the board. You will have the chance to opt out of all contact if you prefer.
In any case, your email address will not be released to any third party without
your permission.
The survey is not designed to collect information directly from students;
however, there is space at the end of the longer survey where you can type or paste in
comments from your children if desired.
Finally, some technical information
- only one survey can be filled out per computer or login screen; if you wish to
fill out multiple surveys using the same computer or login screen, please email
education@mccready.com for a special link to do so.
- You may come back to finish an uncompleted survey or change your responses if
you use the same computer, or login screen, and the same link to the survey you
originally did.
- The IP address of the computer submitting the survey is tracked.
- A "cookie" will be placed on the computer to allow you to return to your
survey; as far as I know, that is all it is used for. For more information, see
the privacy policy and FAQ's at www.surveymonkey.com, the service that is used
for this survey.
